Niten-Ryu released

This one had a serious false start. I learned a good lesson, though… basically, the more complex a project is, the more likely bugs are to crop up. Any little change you make has the potential to raise a plethora of unforseen issues as well. The MG:CE system is already fairly complex as it is. The addition of offhand weapon support was fairly smooth, but a Big Problem ™ cropped up after I put it up on SLX and in a few vendors in-world as well. I won’t bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, those issues have been ironed out, and it is now available at all my in-world locations as well as SLX.

Almost ready…

The Niten-Ryu daisho is almost ready… in the meantime, here’s a pic to let you know that I am, in fact, not telling a fib.

Orchid Tachi v1.02 update released

Just a quick note to let users know that v1.02 has been released and delivered. All vendors have been updated with the new version as well.

Check the included release notes for more details on what has been changed and what is planned for the next release smiley

Again, I apologize to anyone who may have been affected by this issue.

Update Server Issues

Please disregard any update you may have received via the update server this morning for the Orchid Tachi. A duplicate version of v1.0 was sent to a few individuals, but I managed to shut down the server before it had a chance to send too many erroneous updates. This problem is being worked on currently, and a v1.02 hotfix update will be sent this afternoon to correct what would, in certain circumstances, cause an infinite loop of updates.

If you happened to receive an update via this bug, please feel free to delete it or otherwise ignore it. The only update you should accept is the v1.02 scheduled for this afternoon.

I apologize to anyone who may have been affected by this issue.

What the Hell?

Apparently, many people are having difficulty viewing the full size version of the Tachi pic. I am also having this problem, unfortunately, and am currently trying to figure out what the hell went wrong with it.

Figures.

Orchid Tachi

Here it is… I know it has been forever since I first started work on this sword, but here it is, finally ready for release. The delay wasn’t so much a byproduct of building it, but of transferring everything over to the new combat system. That’s right: This is not an SCS compatible blade. Which, in reality, is not such a bad thing. I loved SCS, but for various reasons it wasn’t able to achieve its potential. Alas, this is a topic deserving of an entire blog and I will refrain from delving further into the subject here.

So… without further ado:
